Bushfires are a common occurrence in the intense heat of Australia. The fiery inferno tends to destroy anything in its path and by chance, this one patch of bushes remains unscathed.

It wasn't until I arrived home and loaded up the files to edit that I'd realised the magnitude of what I'd captured. I was completely oblivious to the lone patch of trees that were surrounded by hectares of decimated forest. These beautiful surprises make us all the more motivated to get back out there and share our unique perspective as artists.
